This will be my 3rd year with the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride. It was total happenstance that I ever enountered it in the first place but here we are yet again. I'm habitual, always have been. Once I learned about this ride and its cause it instantly resonated with me. Mental illness has reared its head occasionally throughout my family's history and i'm not afraid to admit i've had my own struggles with as well. Once I discovered riding it was the escape from it all and instantly creates that identical euphoira I felt way back in kindergarten the day my training wheels were taken off. Take each day as it comes, the tired old cliche' of one at a time. I've made it half of a century on this rock, each day I live to protect and provide for my beloved sons and make no plans any time soon of ending that streak. So please, considering chipping in a few bucks or a hundred for those with the deeper pockets. For me, my family, my friends who didn't make it this far and most of all my sons.
