AT THE END OF THE DAY…

Well it is all over now and what may have been considered as the final figure was set to rest at over seven hundred pounds, reached with the very kind and generous donation of friends and family.....thank you.

When opening this year's account the DGR system set my default target at £1,000. Having almost got there, at the last minute, this was very unexpectedly achieved by an anonymous donor with a sum of £280!!! I have no idea who this was but I am humbled by such generosity and by the humility of remaining anonymous. THANK YOU.

With regard to the fight against Prostate Cancer, what has been achieved today will only go towards supporting half the story. The other half of the battle lies in the hands of we men alone. We cannot win without early detection so GET TESTED!!!!!!!and give us all a chance to ride with you again next year!

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

On Sunday the 18th of May 2025, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer.

If you have, then thank you so much for sponsoring me for this Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride. I have been so busy with everything else that I forgot all about it and have registered very late…….so thank you for stepping up for me.

This couldn’t have come at a more poignant time. Being nearly five years now since my prostate surgery, it is nearly time for another checkup screening.

Although we have fun dressing up and being gentlemen on motorcycles we are doing it for two very good reasons:

-We are here to raise funds for research

-By drawing attention to ourselves we are drawing attention to the importance of regular testing. Because “Early Detection” means “Longer Lives”
