Progress!!!!

Saturday 19th Apr 2025

Soooooooo I've started painting the tank and the brass colouring for the lettering is really going to pop!!!

Other than that, I've tried to trouble shoot the wiring issues i have with my indicators with no real success. Hoping to make progress on that over the weekend. Without the fuel tank being done I have no idea if the carb repairs I have done will work but there is still time.

The positives I guess are that I'm making headway and have plenty of time to finish it off. I hope.

(Not) Making Progress

Tuesday 8th Apr 2025

Last year I was reassembling this bike and finishing a paint job, this year I'm just re paiting a fuel tank. So far I did filler and primer and am not happy. I think I have to sand back the primer to get it back to smooth, re-primer that section and hope to lay the first colour this weekend. Oh and the decals for masking are not here yet....... I do love a tight deadline.

What else?

Well I need to pack the exhaust with steel wool so it isn't has obnoxious (i know, not like me usually but I think after this year i should aim for atkeast under 150 decibels) and make it not a visible alteration. Oh and yet again another oil leak appeared. Old bikes are fun.... anyway I have until the ride day of May 18th so plenty of time... Wait to watch this blog deteriorate into a constant update of a mad scramble to get a bike ready.

The last 3 years the only shows/charity days the bike has done is the DGR. I mean it when I say this year will be different.

Anyway keep donating and keep following. This is going to get wild.

P.s. image of something else I worked on instead of the bike....

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Thursday 27th Mar 2025 On Sunday the 18th of May 2025, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
