We are not okay. It’s okay to talk about it.

Saturday 17th May 2025

Mental health has become a very important cause to me in the last couple of years, after recognising that I was hiding my depression for so long that I could no longer recognise that my mental state was abnormal.

I have come to appreciate that normalising conversations around mental health is very beneficial, particularly for men my age who learned that to cry or express feelings that people found uncomfortable was treated with ridicule at school and home

It is great to donate money to a cause, but the best way to help is to allow yourself to be vulnerable when people say they aren’t okay, and to say “me too”.

I am feeling happier than I have in a very long time, and it is because of the friends who were strong enough to have that heavy conversation with me, which encouraged me to seek professional help.

Thank you to my friends and family who were there for me in the worst part of my life, and the ones who tell me when they are not okay.

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Tuesday 25th Mar 2025 On Sunday the 18th of May 2025, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
