“That’ll do pig”

Well the rigs are back on the coat hanger and the steed is back in the shed. The ride was a huge success with 170 riders and raising over $22000 total for men’s prostate cancer research and men’s mental health.

A big thank you to all who followed and supported our participation in the DGR this year… I hope you’ve enjoyed the journey as much as I did the ride. A special thanks to all who put your money down for the great cause and I feel great pride in informing you that this year with your help we have raised nearly $3200 for the cause giving us the honour of being the top fundraiser for the event. #veryhumble 😊

Shaved & Dangerous

I’m pleased to announce that overnight donations have continued to pour in… we have now tipped over the 3K mark and it seems that surpassing our funding total from last year is a real possibility…

Also since our last update there have been some performance improvements… having completed a full facial shave down thus significantly reducing the drag coefficient for the ride…

The ride will be departing from “The Station” in Yeppoon before stops at both Emu Park and Keppel Sand, then returning to “The Station” by early afternoon… Should be quite a spectacle as nearly 140 bikes transit the route…

Donations can be made throughout the day, so it’s not too late to join us in our fundraising.

Goodbye old friend… You were a good beard; you will be missed…

Another update for those who have been following our fundraising campaign in the lead up to tomorrow’s Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) Some of you who have been paying attention may be aware that not only is this my last few hours of being a “beard guy”, but also with your valued support we have reached a number or milestones along the way. In one short week this is what has been accomplished…

✔️Our original funding target of $250

✔️ The “dare target” of $1500 (goodbye beautiful beard!😑)

✔️ and most recently or  “X10 Target” of $2500

I am astonished how donations have continued to flood in and to the point now where I believe we are in striking distance of exceeding last year’s total funds raised ($3500). Overwhelmed by support!

A quick update for all and any who have been following our 2025 Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride campaign… I’m very pleased to announce that through your generous support, and with only 2 days to go we are currently only $184 short of exceeding our original funding target… By a factor of 10! 😯

As most of you are aware the event sets out not only to raise funds for Prostate Cancer Research but also to raise awareness of the importance of continued research and to raise awareness about men’s mental health.

DGR25 - Lets Ride!

Hi all, Next Sunday (18th of May) I will be participating in the Annual Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride. For those who don’t know of it, it is an event that sets out to raise awareness and funds for two very worthy causes. Men’s prostate cancer research and Men’s Mental Health… Last year was my first ever charity ride and I was overwhelmed with support from friends family and the greater community… We (Tom & I) received so much support in fact that we accomplished the honourable accolade of highest overall fundraiser, not to forget to mention my little mate Tom who won the award as one of Two “Mini Distinguished Gentlemen” who participated in the event that day… a big thank you to all who contributed to that success. This year we have set the very modest goal of $250 and once again I am asking to please give a little if you can. Donations are reciepted and tax deductible of course.

As an added incentive, and consistent with last year… if I raise over $1500 I will shave my beard off… (And yes this price includes the Mo this year Kym)
