My ride

Tuesday 20th May 2025

The 2025 Distinguished Gentleman's Ride yesterday was a great success!  I had a blast riding with Sam and a bunch of dapper riders on eclectic bikes through Vancouver, tooting our horns and waving back at all of the smiling pedestrians.

Thank you to all of the riders for their fundraising efforts and to all of our families and friends who sponsored our rides!

In Vancouver, we had over 220 riders who raised over $53,000 for the Movember Foundation.  Well done!

Tuesday 13th May 2025

This year I have the pleasure of riding for two men who have been successful in their struggle against cancer thanks to the dedicated efforts of their caregivers, their families, and the BC Cancer Agency.

My brother-in-law, David, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2024.  He received chemotherapy and stem cell treaments, and he has been able to resume regular trips to his happy place in sunny Mexico.

My buddy, Russ, was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2023.  He received chemotherapy and CAR-T cell immunotherapy, and is hoping to return to playing hockey with us this summer.

I'm also dedicating my ride to two friends who are no longer with us.  Neil passed from cancer in 2023, and Scott took his own life due to depression in 2023.

Please consider donating to my ride in memory of Scott and Neil, and to help Russ and David in their continuing struggle.  Your donation to the Movember Foundation funds research and support programs for them and many others.

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Wednesday 26th Mar 2025

On Sunday the 18th of May 2025, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of the Movember Foundation. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
