DGR 2025

Welcome to my DGR 2025 page.  By way of introduction. I've been riding motorcycles for over 30 years and DGR gives me the oppurtunity to combine that passion with a topic that I'm becoming more aware of, mens health.  I turned 50 last year and to celebrate I bought a Model 50 Norton as the synergy seemed appropriate and i'd fancied an old british classic for a while. I also realised that many of my friends were all starting to experience issues with bereavement, blood pressure, heart issues, high cholesterol and other issues that seem to come on in " middle age".

DGR gives me the chance to raise some money for a worthwhile cause.

If anyone reading this can spare the price of a Pint, prosecco or pizza and donate to my fundraising then please do. I, and the charity, would be incredibly grateful!!

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Wednesday 30th Apr 2025 On Sunday the 18th of May 2025, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
