Final day of fundraising - not only did 'we' pass the $250 & the $1000 targets ... 'we' have reached my 'new' personal target of £1000 - it looks good :)

The 'Big Day'

Hello Folks!

What a day - fantastic. 

First of all, a big shout out to all my sponsers. Target of £150 reached. Updated target of £300 reached. Final target of £500 ... nearly there. One final push for a few new sponsors with a few spare pounds to raise funds for men's mental health, Veterans, and Prostrate Cancer.

Sad, but good to say that I have now started my treatment for Stage 3 locally advanced prostrate cancer. Radiotherapy in August. 

I guess you could say that this is now personal! I just did not expect this when looking to take part in this year's DGR. 

However, I did meet Elvis ... the limited edition motorcyle, with its new owner :) A fine dapper gent.

It has been great being part of something bigger.

DGR - it's nearly time!

Okay folks ... getting ready for the DGR at Dalkeith Country Park on Sunday 18th May - whose coming? There will be a lot of 'dapper' riders - plus food & drink to make a splendid Sunday morning prior to the 'ride-out'. Finally, many thanks to my sponsors who have supported me in getting to and beyond my target ... still time for a few more wee donations :) You know that you want to raise funds for men's mental health & prostrate cancer research ... I know I do!!

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Thursday 24th Apr 2025 On Sunday the 18th of May 2025, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
