SEVENTH YEAR!!

Hey there,

Thank you so much for stopping by my page & considering contributing to my campaign. Whether you can spare $1 or $100 it truly means the world to me to have your support. 

This cause is near & dear to me & with your encouragement I have raised over $16k in 6 years. 

I have an overall goal of atleast $1500 this year and would be full of gratitude for your help to get me there. 🫶🏼

If you are new to my annual fundraiser, and aren't easily triggered, please continue to read so I can be transparent in my journey for this cause... this is a fundraiser for men's mental health, suicide awareness, & Prostate Cancer... so with that knowledge read on at your discretion. 

In the winter of 2018, my world was flipped upside down for many reasons, my personal life, my home, everything was falling apart. Then I got a call that skidded everything to a hault. A friend, a couple years my senior, had ended his life the night before. Russell was a good friend of mine, we had spoken the day before planning to go for brunch the weekend after. I had no idea. It crushed me. Crushed so many of us. September 2019, was my first DGR. I brought a picture of him with me, he now comes every year. 

In June 2020, I received another call from a different friendship group... they wanted to know if I had heard from Dom recently. I hadn't. We were friends but life had taken us different directions so we didn't talk as often. A couple of us made plans to check different spots... I'll spare you the details, but I was the one that found him. He spent some time in the hospital but never woke up. To say this broke me, is an understatement. It tore me apart, I went numb, it ruined friendships... I had no intention of doing the DGR that fall. 

Then folks like you started asking why I hadn't posted yet? was it cancelled because of covid? Many shared stories of loved ones they lost, or those that battled. I rode km per dollar, solo, that year... all the way to Ottawa and back. I carried Russell, and Dom, and so many others stories. Left tears & came back with a cathartic peace. 

Recently someone extremely close to me battled & won against Prostate Cancer, just last month ringing the bell! I am beyond grateful he did.

THIS is why I ride every year, for my friends & family. For your friends & family. 

Because men's mental and physical health is important and impacts us all!!

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Monday 14th Apr 2025 On Sunday the 18th of May 2025, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
