I'm Riding In The DGR Again

On Sunday the 18th of May 2025, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember.

This means, scrubbing up as posh as houses, and riding a beautiful motorbike through the sunshiiiiney streets of Manchester.

I do this almost every year, because the facts are astonishing.

Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that.

So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.

Phil's Story

Meet Phil. I used to work with him. A really good guy. Funny, bright, thoughtful, considerate, warm and loving. The heart of an angel and the wit of a devil. A good job, great friends, fantastic family and engaged to a wonderful fiancee.

Sadly and unexpectedly, Phil took his own life aged just 30. No-one, not even his closest family and friends, knew the secrets behind Phil's problems until they read the note he left behind. Everyone thought these were problems that could have been fixed, except Phil.

Suicide is the biggest killer of men aged 20-39, with three-quarters of all suicides being male. Around 510,000 men die from Suicide each year. One every minute.

On Sunday the 18th of May 2025, I'm taking part in the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride in memory of Phil, and the thousands of other sons, brothers, husbands and friends that should still be here.
