My prostate cancer journey continues, the fight is not over!

This Sunday, May 18, is the Distinguished Gentlemen's Ride (DGR)—a global event raising funds for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health. I’ll be participating in my 4th DGR, and for me it is a special event.

Last year, I couldn’t ride. I was recovering from surgery for aggressive prostate cancer. Thankfully, my doctor was proactive. With early intervention and surgery, I received a clear pathology report. I thought I was in the clear. But it turns out, that may not be the case.

I share this because I’m just one example of why it’s so important to get checked. Prostate cancer is the third leading cause of cancer deaths—just behind breast cancer. I’m proud that my pillion rider, Donna (my wife and support coach) ranked 18th globally in fundraising last year. I look forward to riding in this year’s event and seeing everyone.
